What is Vegetarianism?
Vegetarianism is the practice of not consuming the flesh of any animal (including sea animals) with or without also eschewing other animal derivatives, such as dairy products or eggs. Some vegetarians also choose to refrain from wearing clothing that has involved the death of animals, such as leather, silk and fur. — Wikipedia
There are three types of Vegetarian diets, the most common being Lacto-Ovo Vegetarianism which means a diet without animal flesh; but it does include eggs, dairy and honey products.
The other types of Vegetarian diets that are less common include: Lacto Vegetarianism which includes dairy but not eggs and Ovo Vegetarianism which includes eggs but not dairy.
Finally, Veganism is a type of diet which excludes all of these foods. Vegans do not eat eggs, dairy or even honey.
Susan and me are Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians, but we will try our best to accomodate all Vegetarian and Vegan diets.
