Caramel Icing
Nice and easy versatile icing. It is one of my favourites, particularly on chocolate cake.
Cook
Mix in a medium sauce pan:
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
Bring to boil, then lower heat and cook for 3 minutes. Stir to keep from burning. Cool until luke warm.
Add:
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar.
Mix until smooth and spread on cake.
